Hasan Piker is one of the most-followed political commentators on American streaming platforms, with millions of subscribers across Twitch, YouTube, and social media. He has used that audience — disproportionately young and politically forming — as a vehicle for rhetoric that does not merely criticize American policy, but actively celebrates American suffering and calls for the destruction of the systems and values that define this nation.
What follows is not opinion. It is a documented record of statements, positions, and advocacy that Piker has broadcast freely and repeatedly — all while profiting from the American infrastructure, legal protections, and free-market economy he despises.

This was not a slip of the tongue. The statement was made deliberately, on-camera, to a live audience of hundreds of thousands of viewers. It was condemned immediately and across party lines — by veterans' groups, members of Congress, and survivors of the September 11 attacks. Piker has never issued a full retraction. The platforms where he built his following have taken no meaningful action.
That statement is the most visible point of a pattern that runs through everything he broadcasts. Over years of daily streaming, Piker has built a comprehensive worldview in which America is irredeemably evil, its institutions deserve to be torn down, its patriotic citizens are ignorant tools of oppression, and those who challenge that view are enemies.
Every American-based platform that continues to host, promote, and financially reward this content is making an active choice to do so. We are calling on them to make a different one.
01Celebrated the deaths of 3,000 Americans — publicly stated that the United States "deserved" the September 11 terrorist attacks, one of the deadliest days on American soil in history.
02Calls U.S. military personnel "war criminals" and "terrorists" — has repeatedly used these terms to describe American service members and veterans who put their lives on the line to defend this country and its allies.
03Advocates the complete dismantling of American institutions — calls openly for abolishing the economic, governmental, and constitutional systems of the United States, framing them not as flawed but as fundamentally illegitimate.
04Promotes Marxist and socialist ideology to a mass audience — openly champions a political and economic system that is incompatible with the American ideals of individual liberty, free enterprise, and limited government enshrined in the Constitution.
05Mocks and demeans American patriotism as ignorance — routinely characterizes love of country as "bootlicking," dismisses Americans who are proud of their nation as brainwashed, and frames basic civic pride as a sign of stupidity.
06Frames America's founding ideals as a lie — attacks the principles of liberty, democracy, and individual rights in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, telling his audience that the founding of the United States was an act of evil rather than a historic achievement.
07Consistently sides with America's adversaries in geopolitical conflicts — frames the United States as the aggressor and villain in virtually every international dispute, lending rhetorical support to actors and movements openly hostile to American interests and allies.

A Pattern of Terrorist Sympathy
Siding With America's Designated Enemies
Beyond his contempt for America itself, Piker has established a consistent and documented pattern of extending sympathy, legitimacy, and platform amplification to organizations the United States government has formally designated as terrorist groups. Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis are all listed as Foreign Terrorist Organizations or Specially Designated Global Terrorists by the U.S. Department of State. Piker has voiced sympathy for all three.

10Defended the October 7 Hamas massacre — following Hamas's October 7, 2023 attack that killed over 1,200 Israeli civilians and resulted in the abduction, rape, and torture of hundreds more, Piker framed the slaughter as legitimate "resistance" rather than terrorism, on a live broadcast reaching hundreds of thousands.
11Expressed open sympathy for Hamas — Hamas is designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S. Department of State. Piker has used his platform to legitimize Hamas, frame its stated goals sympathetically, and dismiss condemnation of its attacks against civilians as propaganda.
12Voiced support for the Houthis — the Houthis (Ansar Allah) are designated a Specially Designated Global Terrorist organization by the U.S. government. After the Houthis began attacking commercial shipping in the Red Sea and launching missiles toward American allies, Piker framed their terrorist acts as heroic solidarity.
13Expressed sympathy for Hezbollah — Hezbollah is designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S. Department of State and is responsible for some of the deadliest attacks on American citizens in history, including the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing that killed 241 U.S. service members. Piker has consistently framed Hezbollah as a legitimate resistance force.
14Frames U.S.-designated terrorist organizations as freedom fighters — across years of broadcasts, Piker has applied a consistent rhetorical framework: any group that opposes the United States or Israel is a "resistance movement," its attacks on civilians are justified, and those who condemn them are warmongers. This is not commentary — it is recruitment-grade propaganda delivered on mainstream American platforms.
We are not calling for government censorship. The First Amendment protects Piker's right to hold and express these views — and it equally protects the right of every American to demand that private companies stop financially rewarding them. Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and X each publish community standards that prohibit content promoting hatred and harm. We are calling on them to enforce the rules they have already written.
